What happened when someone threw away the model for the “bubble” structure that Agnes had given me.
A blog post for the Americans For the Arts Blog Salon.
In May 2011, the artist Agnes Bolt moved into my home for a week that felt like a lifetime. She lived inside a “large obtrusive structure” inside my apartment that became known simply as "the bubble." The goal was to examine art’s impact in the world. During this week, we talked, we hugged, we cried, we fought. The experience became something more than just an art project. We have spoken only once since then. I hope to continue the conversation we began with this blog.
